  • Shut down your computer and start it again.
  • Now open your web browser and remove the extension of the application

 Chrome Browser

  • Start the Application
  • Select the following
  • Menu Icon (three-vertical dots that are one-upon-another)
  • ‘More Tools’
  • ‘Extensions’

  3. ‘Programs’
  4. ‘Manage Add-Ones’
  5. McAfee Webadvisor’s Extensions
  6. ‘Disable’

After doing this, uninstall the application from your device

  • Within the search bar of your taskbar, type ‘Run’
  • Select ‘Open’
  • Type the following: appwiz.cpl
  • After doing so, select the following:
  1. ‘WebAdvisor by McAfee’
  2. ‘Uninstall/Change’
  3. ‘Yes’
  4. ‘No thanks, Just Install it.
  5. ‘Done’

Now remove the remaining items of the application.

  1. Open your File Manager
  2. Select ‘This PC’
  3. Select ‘(C:) Drive’
  4. Select ‘Program Files’
  5. Select ‘McAfee’
  6. Delete the WebAdvisor Folder by right-clicking on it and selecting delete.
  7. Now again open ‘(C:) Drive’
  8. Select ‘Program Data.
  9. Select ‘McAfee’
  10. Delete the WebAdvisor Folder by right-clicking on it and selecting delete.

Now check whether the application is removed from your device. You can do so by going to the control panel and selecting ‘Program and Features’. There, check the list, if the application is cleared from it or not. If not, follow the next method

Download An Application Cleaner

Application Cleaner is a program that removes an application completely from a device. If you search in google for ‘Application Cleaner’, you will get many of them. Downloading any one of them will work. Just check that the website is genuine while downloading the application

Basic Process of Using the Application

  •  Download the Application by clicking the download button from its official website
  • Install the application by opening it through the downloads section from your browser
